About me…..
My name is Hannah Kirkwood, I am 12 years old and I live in Carmel, California. I love singing, dancing and playing the guitar. More importantly, I love fundraising and giving back to those in need.
I formed Hannah’s Heart because I want to help raise money and awareness for pediatric cancer charity.
My goal is to raise $6,000 to donate to pediatric cancer and all money will go to the Ronan Foundation which was founded to raise money to help children battling cancer. Please help me support such an amazing cause.
Cancer Statistics
An estimated 400,000 children around the world develop cancer each year, only half of whom are ever diagnosed.
Cancer is the leading cause of death by disease past infancy for U.S. children.
However, thanks to better therapies, more than 80% of U.S. childhood cancer patients now become long-term survivors.
Survival rates vary depending on the type of cancer.
About 483,000 childhood cancer survivors live in the U.S., with many more around the world.

The story behind Hannah’s Heart…..
I am a huge Swiftie! I love everything about Taylor Swift and as a singer I aspire to be just like her! One day I found myself listing to the song ‘Ronan’. For those of you who are not familiar with her songs, Taylor wrote this about a little boy who had cancer and who sadly passed away from neuroblastoma just days before his fourth birthday. Heartbreaking.
My mom came through and I was sitting with tears streaming down my face. We spoke about the song and how sad Ronan's story was, but it gave me the motivation to do more to give back and help other kids battling cancer.
I am aiming to raise $13,000 for The Ronan Foundation, which was set up in Ronan’s honor and which funds innovative research for effective, less toxic treatments for children battling cancer.
